Temazcal or Sweatlodge Ceremony is a very ancient purification ceremony that has been used in many cultures, mostly in the Native American and Mexican cultures, for various purposes such as healing, praying, preparing for battles or for long ceremonies. It symbolizes the cycle of death and rebirth, the shedding of old skin, the embracing of our shadow and light and the experience of being One with Great Spirit – the Whole.

The Ceremony is a journey that cannot be described completely; you have to experience it for yourself. It is a journey, with many colors and sensations, which is sometimes challenging and sometimes beautiful as we learn to go deeper and flow with the energies of the Elements.
The Temazcal Ceremony takes place on Wednesday evenings only from 3-7pm. The ceremony itself is about 2 hours. Those participating will have a separate dinner of a light bite prior to and after. You will want to wear a light bathing suit that you don’t mind that it will get dirty. Hydrate adequately prior to and and after the ceremony.
The Temazcal is an additional cost of $50 paid to Haramara and there is a minimum number of participants required.
