When all through the house
Creatures were stirring cause school was out,
they wouldn’t even take the loudest mouse;
The stockings we’re flung with very little care,
There’s so much to be done I want to pull out all my hair;
The children are amped, restless in bed,
Sugarplums breakdanced all night in their head;
Even though Mama mixed gummies with a strong night cap,
Nothing seemed to help - not even a nap;
When a studio in Fremont arose such a clatter,
I sprung from face down on the kitchen floor
To see what’s the matter.
I jumped out the window I flew like a flash,
Left my family to fend for themselves - didn’t even take out the trash.
Hustled up the 3rd floor and dumped my stuff in a coat pile,
All I need is to move my body - Pilatecise style.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
Six mats, a miniature ball, and an instructor with so much cheer I began to fear;
But with moves so lively and quick,
Stress washed away for every twist, lift, and flick.
More rapid than eagles her queues they came,
She whistled and made spaceship noises and call’d them by name;
“Now! Dasher, now! Dancer, now! Heather, Sara(h), Nicole, Erin, and Rachel!
On! Kristen, on! Meg, on! Kathy, on! Peter, Wojtek and Paul;
To the top of the space building! Clinging to a wall,
Get away from it all while squeezing a ball!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”
Hope to see you in the studio soon! If I don’t see you until 2025 thank you for supporting our magical little studio in it's first full year. The space is truly a reflection of your incredible energy and the love you show up with. If you’ve been able to experience a retreat with me, this year being a little skip across the ocean and plopped in the jungles of Sayulita, you contributed to the biggest highlight of the year. Maybe my whole life, an unforgettable experience. Thank you putting yourself first, being open to the best life has to offer - a true Bon Vivant. I’m so grateful and love you all.
